Welcome to Saint-Gengoux the National situated in Saône and Loire, the southern area of Burgundy
St-Gengoux and its nineteen dependant villages are built from local stone. They offer a quite and friendly way of life.
The Greenway, a 100 kilometer long well surfaced former railway line where you can walk, cycle or roller skate has many panoramic areas. There are many bridle paths that roam over the hills or through forests.

The rivers Grosne, Guye and Grison provide very good fishing.
Try the wine field road from Chalon sur Saône to Macon. Many restaurants in the area offer local produce, charollais beef, cheese-goat-cow and sheep.
In the area are several castles, many medieval churches, old public wash houses and kilometers of dry stone walls.
The spiritual community of Taizé is near as are the four Cluny sites listed with the European Institute of Culture.
